Hello all... Just picked up a new client with a CIX system. They have both POTS and T1 lines in the system. When ever they get a call on the POTS lines at the reception desk and answer with the CIX Attendant console they use the flash option for 2nd dial tone, make a call, wait for answer then announce call and patch it through works fine. But the flash option will not work with the T1 calls.
I tried setting up a user profile on the attendant console for T1 transfer with the phone # in the extension field and that dose work but you cant announce the call it dose a blind transfer.
I did see you can do whats called a consultation transfer that is supposed to let you announce the call but i cant get it to work. I answer the call then hit consultation transfer and nothing happens.
Any ideas.

I'm not sure I just took over this account and to be honest with you I've never worked on a CIX but have worked on the Strata and DK series systems
As far as the version what where you thinking?

Just click on help on the attendant console and check version number. There were issues with supervised transfers on various versions i remember 1.40k had issue and was fixed in 1.40T. But these versions are dated now and have been super seeded.
Cheers Chris

I had the girl at the front check and it's 6.1.3 I assume that you should get some kind of box when you select consultation transfer so you can select a number to transfer to, is this correct.

When you answer the call with the PC console, you have to select whom the call is for. For example, a DN from a the contact and then press the supervised transfer icon on the screen or the unsupervised key on the keyboard (the + key on the number pad).

I don't remember seeing a supervised icon. I answerd the call then selected a contact that I created with the cell number in the extension field and away it whent.
But I don't remember if I did 1 or 2 clicks on the mouse.
Is it 1 click and then hit the supervised icon. Where is this icon at, can you discribe it.

If you go to Administration, under the Admin tab, PC Level, if the "Default Transfer" is checked then the call transfer icon will become a consultation transfer. On the keyboard, there is a key for supervised transfer and a key for blind transfer. PM me if you need the attendant user guide.
