Got 3 systems going in next week all with SIP trunks, we had the provider turn up the circuits today for testing, all work except for CID , all I an seeing is number and no name , display shows cn:8652312234 and no name. Provider said they are sending both ??

What are you using for a gateway?
Note: The Strata CIX system can send a Calling Number ID but not a Name. The Calling number must be a valid number with the service provider, in the CIX system URI table with Main attribute, and in the CIX system calling number programing.

It may be that the SIP Trunk provider is only passing on the number but not the name. They do this on cell phones. I would ask them to be sure.

They said there sending both ?? They go live next week I will bring it up with Paetec then.
