I have an issue in one of my offices, where 3 different prefixes don't go through without dialing the area code, even though it's within the same area. All other number prefixes work fine dialing out without the area code, except for these 3. The prefixes are 405, 406, and 323. The carrier advised me that all numbers, even if they are local, need the area code dialed, and that the programming change is required in the phone system. My phone vendor, is advising that there aren't any settings for this setup like the carrier suggests. Is this valid? Are there any settings in the system to check this?
