I have our fax line in our system as line 2 and have the fax machine on a standard port. Our AA picks up on the 3rd ring. Does anyone know if there is any way for the AA to send any fax calls to the fax ext. (209 or whatever)?

What you need is a line share device such as The Stick. You run your fax line(line 2) into the device, then one port out to the phone system and another out to the fax machine. It will automatically route all fax calls to the fax machine and all voice calls to the phone system.

Sorry, GVPH VM.

I was hoping the Stratagy VM had some way of handling fax calls, i.e. it recognizes that it's a fax machine and forwards it to the designated extension (standard port)

You can look at this:

From admin guide:
Fax Tone Detection
System-wide Feature
This feature sends fax tone detection to User ID 994 (default).

Just enter the SLT extn number in the mailbox of 994 and the fax tone detect will transfer the call to the SLT automatically

so MB994 Extension field should have xxx-H
also make sure DND is OFF

The Std port ext is 209.

Should I set up 994 as @209H or just 209H?

Thanks again!
