I've run into a problem while integrating MS Lync through a media gateway to our Toshiba Strata CTX670. It appears as though you cannot have SMDI transport over RS232 while having a Strata iES32 system transport over LAN. I have 2 SMDI ports setup on the CTX670 but if I have the Strata setup on SMDI#0 over LAN and have the media gateway setup for SMDI#1 over RS232 I get NO calling party info over the RS232 interface. However, if I disable the strata LAN on the CTX and reboot I do get calling party info.
Is this just a shortcoming of the CTX or is there a way to make it work (sw upgrade?)

You can only have 1 SMDI output from the system either via the LAN or the RS232. The CIX only supports 1 voicemail to be installed therefore only 1 SMDI is needed.

Why do I have an option for SMDI #0 AND SMDI #1 then? This is a CTX, not CIX
