Hey, we have a location that has a Toshiba CHSUB112A2 phone control box and a Toshiba phone handset DKT2204. I do not know if this hardware is the issue, but when attempting to port the number tied to these phones, the port is refused, and a PIN is requested. Is it possible that the hardware is causing this issue? Thanks for the help!

What do you mean 'port the number'?

Typically porting the numbers is done by the dial tone provider and the Toshiba system has nothing to do with it.

Sounds like Kelley is looking to port the customers line numbers over and the present provider has a lock on it from happening, they use to do this a lot in the 80's & 90's when companies were in the practice of "slamming" the long distance services of a customers line. The customer would have their provider place a lock on their account so no changes could be made without the pin code.
If this is the case you will need to contact the customer for it or if they don't know then the customer will need to contact their provider and get it changed or removed.

Curious if there is n update on this. I haven't heard of PIN on a POTS line for years and didn't know they still offered that! Ever get it working Kelley?
