I always feel dumb when I start messing with these...

Customer has a CiX100, trunk is a PRI, and they are using IP5000 sets. They want me to make them hear the outbound calls quieter.

-Is the PRI considered a T1 or ISDN trunk or other?
-Is the IP5000 the same as the IP1000 or IP2000? I wouldnt think so.

I beleive to make things quieter you add PAD, so make the number greater, but can someone to confirm this as well.

That's funny, my customer says just the opposite.
They say callers can't hear them. I put the sender ISDN pad at -12. Every time I call them I have no problem hearing her. But to answer your question a PRI is ISDN. Now they say my pad adjustment did not work.?????? I called their provider to see if they could turn up the sending volume.

I thnk of pillows.
More PAD (Pillows) = softer.
Lower PAD (Less Pillows) = louder.
