Alright so my client would like to open a channel to a Toshiba Doorphone, using #157 in order to monitor the speaker. but have other phones be aware that the channel is open by having a flexible button be lit, preferably the one the the phanton dn is assigned to for the doorphone.
is it possible? and is it practical?
Thanks, Michael

try programming the ddcb port as a dss key and see if it lights up. The phantom that the doorphone calls would probably not be lit if the doorphone does not initiate the call.

Door phones don't have extension numbers so it is unlikely you can use a DSS key, and the CIX does not use port numbers in DSS programing.
If the destination is a Phantom DN, then people can see if people call from the Doorphone, but I don't see a way that you could see if someone is listening to the doorphone. I am not quite sure I can see a case where people wold want this, but customers can have interesing demands.
