I spoke with our Vodavi rep about the Telenium IP product and got the feeling it is still in beta.

Has anyone had any experience with this system? Good / Bad?

What is the general thought about IP phones? We just lost another deal to an all IP switch. We are debating on bringing on an IP switch. Any input would be helpfull.

Thanks!!

I have seen the product about a year ago and I wasn't overly impressed. Alot has happened in a year and supposedly for the better.
Vodavi would like you to be certified to sell the product. Basically certification in ip stuff and computer networking.
We don't have any customers that understand what it's all about but we are getting questions. I'd like to install one but costs don't really warrent it yet.

Tip and ring, the work of the devil!

I have helped with the installation of 4 Telenium systems. They are great systems but they are still working out some of the problems. For a simple system with 30 or less stations it is not that bad, but we have a system where two Teleniums are talking to each other it gets kinda complicated and still has some issues. For the most part it is working out though. The T1 setup has been difficult at times and we have also had problems using a channel bank with the analog CO ports.

It has only been getting better and I think that we will be using them more in the future.

Has anyone fgured out how to allow more that one person to do an external page on the Telenium.

If someone is paging no one else can page unitl the firs person hangs-up. It does not matter if it is an inter-nal page or an external page

Any suggestions

Thanks in advance
Lin

Vodavi Girl,

welcome to the board. I think you'd have a lot better luck starting a new topic for your problem rather than attaching it to such an old post. Just look for "Post new Topic" above the directory. Again welcome aboard.
