We have a Vodavi telephone system that we had installed about two years ago. The company that installed the system has gone out of business and we desperately need to update our system (new employees, voicemail etc.......I am able to get into the welcome screen which requires a password. The default 0000 does not work. I tried evey possible password that anyone in the company could come up with. I called Sundance and they refered me to this message board to see if a tech guy might be able to give me a backdoor password or tell me how I can reset the password? I know that you are not allowed to post passwords on this messageboard so please email me or call me @(919) 388-0037 ext 105 (if it goes through) the system will not recognise my voicemail......hence the rush for help....... Thanks, Gerald Paul

Which system are you using? Vodavi makes many different systems. Can you provide a model number of the system or a model number off the bottom of a phone?
You also mention a Welcome screen. How are you getting a 'Welcome' screen?
Tip and ring, the work of the devil!

A6, He has a mini-voice system. He has a PC hooked to the serial port and is getting the prompt.
I had the owner of the business fax a "permission slip" to try to get into his system.
I'm going to try to help him get in. However, I do not know how to change the password via a backdoor. And, Vodavi does not give tech support unless you are on-site.
If anyone knows the back door, please email me or put it in the installers forum.
Thanks, Larry
