I have a DVX with a caller id attachment. What is the port assignment and baud rate? I can't seem to get it to report back the caller ID. I suspect it happended when the system was reset.

You can try Flash 56 button 1 which should be the Disable/Enable Button. It is Disabled by default.

Flash 56 in programming does show the caller id parameters. It should say 'YES' and it will give you the port number and the baud rate.

The port on the CPU board is port 1 and the default baud rate is 9600.

The baud rate on both the phone system and caller id box should be set the same. I don't know what the switch setting on the caller id should be to get 9600 baud but if you need that info, email me.

When caller id is set you can't program from the serial port and you need to program from a phone.

This will depend on the caller ID box part number and dip switch settings. There are 3 different types. 1440,1480 and 7480. What box do you have? what are the switch settings and what does the display say when you access flash 56?

The box is a 1440-00. The dip switches are set with 1,2,3 up. 4,-8 are down. There is a 25 pin adapter that plugs into the Vodavi. flash 56 shows
ICLID Name Baud Port
yes yes 9600 1.

When a call comes in the led on the 1440 flashes but it says line ringing.
any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.

Drop your baud rate to 2400 on both devices, thats what CID is usually sent at.
