Jim, could you elaborate what you mean by my neighbour having my pairs in a loc? Because she just called Bell last week, and dished out a 100 bucks.

What he means is that the 6 pair cable is feeding every jack in the building, where you have the first 3 pairs & the neighbour has the last 3.

If your problem started AFTER Bell did their thing, call & have them fix it at the cost.

Thanks for that Dave. No, the problem started before Bell did their thing. Bummer. I'll see what I can do.

in my grandmothers old building here in montreal (5 story building) there is 10 loose pairs in the wall behind the jack in the kitchen. in each stack of appartments they just ran 10 pairs of wire from the garage to the top floor through a pass in the kitchen. Bell back in the day would pick a pair for an appartment and scotchlock to it. i stuck my butset on the loose wires and was able to get DT on 5 of the 10 pairs. great for fraud eh

I'm also in an apartment building. I reckon there's six pair per stack. I'll check for DT on my neighbours other two pairs, as I know she only has one line. :shhh: laugh
