I have a customer that may want to upgrade to the HDD voicemail. In order to discuss it with them intelligently, I downloaded the manual and the programming software from the dealer site. I cannot run the software because it is looking for a file that it needs from the voicemail card. Is there a way a way around this? Reading the manual leaves me with more questions. The primary one at the moment: When accessing your mail box to retrieve messages, does this have "direct mailbox access" or do you have to enter your mailbox number everytime you want in.

Its a full integration - the system supports 'subscriber auto-logon'.

It is very similar to the talkpath(dispatch) not to much different other than the programming software which is very similar when you get into it and work around. if you have any other questions let me know. i will tell you there are a couple wierd things with that voicemail such as when reseting the system it does not always reboot the voice mail unless system is completly powered down and it takes forever to boot up(not really it just seems like it) since it is loaded with XP embedded. let me know

I'm used to installing Panasonic voicemail systems. I picked-up Vodavi after the STS was introduced. The flash-based voicemail the customer is using now lacks a few features. I will have to install the HDD VM in my KSU and play with it, then install it in the customers KSU. I don't want to experiment on a "live " system. Current set-up is: Auto attendant answrs all calls, callers can dial an extension, or use the dial by name feature. It runs day mode from around 7 AM to 5 PM. Any tips you can offer for a smooth transition would be greatly appreciated. I finally got tech support on the phone, they emailed me the missing file, so now I can open the software and look. Very different from Panasonic. You can email me off list if necessary.
THanks, Vern

I too had to de-install a flash VM and replace it with a HDD. The HDD is much, much better. I like the fact that it does not use digital ports to integrate with the KSU. I did not have a problem with the VM at all. Very smooth. It supports KSU Clock Control, Park and Page, and many other useful features.
