I have my CO lines ringing into a hunt, wich has several VM ports. These go to a single CCR menu that has the option of either: dial extension, press 2 to ring UCD group 1 and press 3 to ring UCD group 2. I'm about to set up the overflow with a VMID, but I'd like to know more about the RAN tables. I'm a bit confused by the manual and how it seems to present it as either VM based CCR's or a RAN table...
Ideally, I'd like one main message to play as the day greeting for the CCR.
Once you're in UCD 1, I'd like to be able to play a single RAN (I guess, the primary/guaranteed) RAN. If not answered by an agent, then MOH until a 30 second timeout to the secondary RAN. I guess I would then set the overflow timer to roughly 1 minute, and send it with a VMID.
I basically want callers to hear a message, get answered or placed on queue for no more than one minute, then send to VM.
Is this possible? Thnaks.

yeppers you got it all right! What vm are you using? The way the ran would work is you set the ran to DVM and then pick a menu then you record the menu and any other options in it if you want say to hold press 0 or remain on the line or to leave a message press 1 then it will then of coarse if you are caller # 2 you would get the secondary ran announcement 30 seconds after the first one. let me know if this helped

I finally found the part about the VM box used for RAN recordings, but what's the difference between the Auto-att/CCR in the VM and the RAN used in UCD?
Also, where do I record the RAN in the DVM? Does it go as a mailbox greeting, or as an actual message in the mailbox?
Thanks.

It is usually a menu that you record to use as the RAN.In Flash 62(i beleive) If you set the RAN assignments for RAN 1 set it to DVM and for RAN 2 set it to DVM and then in DVM RAN assignments for RAN 1 set VM group 1(assuming your using 440) and then pick an unused menu enter it say 105 and then you need to choose whether or not your going to be able to do DTMF(like for options in the RAN) because it needs to be set to whichever you are going to use and do the same thing for RAN 2 except choose another menu as you can say something different and the timeout of the menu can go directly to a mailbox or wherever you would like it to go. let me know or shoot me a email.

Not yet. I've been working on it. Still can't figure out where to record the announcements.
