The high school principal wants to know if the switch (Vodavi STS) can be configured to dial one number (like 3333) that will ring all of the phones in the front office. Someone was hurt last Friday and when the teacher tried to call for help there was no answer.

You can put the front office phones into an all ring hunt group and then dial the pilot number 45x

you mean that she could not dial a 911 directly from a classroom major bozo no no and liability issue!

If it's like most schools, staff is required to call the office who will take further action, especially if the injury is minor.
Also, the Hunt Group doesn't have to be limited to the Front Office only. It could include all senior staff, including counselors and any medical staff.

We always put multiple intercom buttons (code 645) on the front office phones so that even if they are already talking on the phone, another internal caller can still reach them. Also, we put a call coverage button for an SLT port on all phones. The "emergency" code becomes that SLT's extension number, so when it's dialed, all phones ring.

You might consider a page group. One way call but it will reach all phones in the group.
