I have a Starplus STS Telephone System. Is there any program that would allow me to monitor the calls coming in and who's calling who on my computer screen? If so what program/peripherals would it require? Thanks.

You're talking about [Station Message Detail Recording] SMDR and/or Call Accounting.

Raw SMDR data will stream for the RS232 ports to a communications program such as HyperTerminal, but getting it into a useable, searchable format requires a Call Accounting program/package.

If you have any of the programming info [.pdf files], look up SMDR. The raw data IS readable if you know what it all means.

It's been a while since I've looked into them so I don't know which ones are compatible with Vodavi anymore.

Try Googling for "Call Accounting" and see what you get.

I'm sure others will be along with info on packages they have used.

Check www.trisys.com - their 'Tapit' call accounting package is pretty good.

I don't think I can help there. Oobie might be the person to take care of this one. I have never heard of that and I don't want to give bad advice.

The details of your post really don't specify exactly what you want to do. ie. Real time, history or both. If you want realtime CID name and number inbound, get the CTI module. If you want historical I strongly suggest getting in touch with PABXsoft. Better than Trisys in my opinion for half the money. Contact me if you want.
