We are trying to setup LCR on our Vodavi STS telephone system. We have the Verizon Centrex plan so now from the phones we have to dial 9 to reach a co-line, then another 9 to dial out from Centrex. We are trying to eliminate the second 9. We have a LCR add/remove entry table setup so when you dail 9 the screen says LCR, you dial the number, then it routes you to an outside line and adds the second 9 infront of the number you dialed. This works fine when your dial 1 + AREA CODE + the number, but when you dial just AREA CODE + the number it cuts you short and doesn't let you finish dialing. I think this happens because when you dial the 1 before the area code + the number its exprecting that you are going to dial 10 digits, but when you don't its only expecting 7 digits so it cuts you short. Here in MASS we have to dial an area code before every number. How do we get this to work right so it doesnt cut you off before you finish dialing? Thanks.

You need to PM me so I can help you here. It is messy if you don't know Vodavi's LCR well. I will be happy to help. We also have 10-digit dialing here in Virginia and it will soon become nationwide. I have lots of experience with this issue.

It's been a long time since I did an LCR setup, but it seems to me there is (or was) a way to set the 'expected' digits under certain instances.
