I was wondering if anyone has setup centralized VM using the digital pathfinder? I am going to network two XTS systems and would like to have the centralized VM but I had problems on one other site I was setting this up on. I had alot of problems with very low volume on messages. Adjusting the voip trunk volumes seemed to have no effect on the volume issues. Tech support claims they have no problems, but thought maybe someone might have had the same issues.

We have quite a few installed with no problem. Many questions need to be answered however to answer your question. What level software are you using? Are you using the the Kit? or the PathFinder In-Skin? If the Kit are you using a generic PC?

Those message are still stored at the hub so if the message volume is low it would have to be low on intercom calls coming across from the hub as well and vm messages at the hub are probably low. One thing i always do is plug a phone into each vm port grab a trunk and turn the handset volume up on them. I always set the VOIP trunks to 6db. and depending on what software you are using on the Pathfinder there is a patch for low volume and clicking on it.

We have done it with both the inskin and the PC based...no problems as of yet....
Good luck though!

I believe the software ver on the XTS is 1.16. I am using the pathfinder kit. I think that the problem I was having could possibly have been connection issues between the sites. What type of connections are you using between the sites? I am using dsl connections at each site. I have not had any problems with the networking on the the phone systems. Seems to work well. I am also thinking of using the VPIM with two pathfinders instead of Centralized VM. Any thoughts? I cannot seem to find too many docs on the VPIM. Thanks!

Centralized works great for the installs I have done. I had the same low volume problem on one of them, and agree with OOBIE. Change the ports from being VM, put a phone on them, grab CO dialtone, make a call and pump up the volume.

First time user. I have a VODVI 3500, no manual. Need to change the display name on a station.

Robert, you should start a new thread for that question. Check my website under FAQ and you will find your answer.
Back to voice mail. If you use the inskin you have to use Win DBA to raise the handset volume for the messages to be loud enough.
