I have day/night greetings programmed for my client.

They play properly, but the message repeats itself 3x before they can actually leave a message.

Is this part of how it is or can I stop that from happening?

Also - option 5 in the admin section. We are guessing that option 1 plays both day/night, option 2 plays day only, and option 3 plays night only. Just wondering if that is correct.

I assume you are speaking of the STS in-skin flash voice mail card. It is 100% touch-tone-based, so yes, if your main greeting doesn't instruct callers to dial something (as in "please remain on the line"), then it will repeat the main greeting three times. This cannot be changed. My suggestion would be to set up a single-digit option in the main menu to go to the appropriate general delivery mailbox and include this in the main menu's greeting.

As for the option 5 question; no. 1 is day only, 2 is night only and 3 follows the programmed day/night settings in the auto attentant programming screen.

Ed:

Thanks the info I appreciate. Now that opens up another question.

We called Tech support and they said to have Option 5 always set for #1 - which is wrong in this case as we have a day/night greeting.

In the Open/Close schedule we have it blanked out. They have chosen to use the DND button as a their Night button. However, when it is set this way the Night greeting plays during the day, and the day vice versa.

So do we need to have something in the Open/Close schedule in order for the Option 5 to take affect if it is option 3?

I'm not sure what Option 5 you're talking about. Flash ??

Have you set up the option 4, auto attendant programming, in the voice mail programming? Open & Close schedule in voice mail programming (option 1)?
