I am looking into proposing PathFinder VoiceMail/Auto-Attendant for a larger STS system my church uses. Would anyone be able to tell me first of all; is PathFinder compatible with a Vodavi STS system. Would I need a special software upgrade?

We are looking for a PathFinder with 4-ports. We have 3 incoming lines, and we would like to make sure that there is always an extra port in the event that all lines are busy (rare) and someone in the office needs to call voicemail.

We would like the PathFinder to be able to answer and route calls to any of our digital stations, as well as offer callers the option to leave voicemails for particular committees.

We have 15 committees that need mailboxes, as well as 8 digital phones that need voicemail.

Would anyone be able to tell me what parts I would be looking for (or what Vodavi Item Numbers)? I would like to just get a feel for how big of an investment this would be. Would it even be worth it, or does Vodavi manufacture another voicemail/auto-attendant system that can do the same things?

Thanks,

Nick

Nick:

The Pathfinder is much more than your church would ever need for basic messaging and automated attendant. The STS system's in-skin (flash memory) or even the hard-drive version should be more than enough. Both provide eight ports, so you will be fine. My gut answer is to go with the flash version. It's cheaper and does all that a typical church or business would ever require.

Just for reference, the Pathfinder, albeit much more sophisticated, can be as much as ten times the cost of an in-skin card.

NICK,

3534-00 8 port in skin voice-mail (3 hour memory)

If you want expanded memory 3534-01 ( 6 hour )additional total of 9 hours memory.

Make sure VM card is defaulted proper via laptop.
default. If not you may have unstable voice-mail
Pay me now, pay me later ( right ED ? )
