Our system does alarm at the console and at select Supersets when 911 is called, we've had a few calls in the past and we tested it as well, just recently in the past 4 months ( system was installed May 08). All employees were trained on what to do with the alarm condition and we have a checklist of things to be verified with the room or extension that called 911.

GOOD! You would be surprised at how hard it is to get managers and owners to do this. When I installed, we finally put a spot on the acceptance sheet that the acceptor had to sign off regarding 911 test and training. They signed it or I notated that they refused to sign and why. And whether or not they had taken advantage of the training. They got the copy, we kept the original. People are 'Sue Crazy' any more! frown John C.

If the motel is part of a larger chain ie: best western, holiday inn, ext. Check with their requirements. We installed a holiday inn express last summer and they had their own requirements for trunks available to rooms.
