I'm helping two different churches install Vodavi systems. One is a 96EX and the other is a 1428 Starplus Digital Key. What voicemail software would be suggested for each?
Each have 2 CO lines coming in, 15 extentions, only about 5 extentions need the voice mail, automated voice attendant would be nice. They are both churches so there budget is very tight.
What are some recommendations?
Thank you in advance

Yes, the Dispatch or Talkpath analog are probably the best way to go. They are pretty straight-forward. We have also used Panasonic and ESI voice mail with these systems successfully. Vodavi's MiniVoice is a dirt-cheap solution, but it's been discontinued for a while now. It's not nearly as stable, but on a tight budget, it will do.

You could also use a Vodavi Mini-Voice 4port. Also you will need a ringing generator for the 1428 , I don't remember too much about the 96 Also , you will need a SLT 2x4 card that mounts inside the 1428 Control Box. ( that will give you 2 co lines and 4 single line circuits for the vm. [email protected]

Ed can correct me if I am wrong, but I think you can also use a 2x4 card from an Isoetec/Executone IDS 42 cabinet instead of the Vodavi part. The cabinets are the same, just different software.

Paul - Executone didn't release the 2X4 analog card for IDS. It was something that Vodavi always had and we wanted... Mike

Paul:
What Mike said. I am not very strong on Executone, but I do remember hearing about the "value" in those cards. I never understood why, but now it makes perfect sense. I always thought that Executone got the advancements first, but apparently I was incorrect.

I'm going to be working on the 96EX first. It does not have any SLT cards, they are all KIB, will I need an adapter?
