Have a customer that wants CO lines 1-5 to ring the reception phone 100 and then go to AA (menu 100) in day mode, night will go straight to AA. If I put lines 1-5 in group 1, set CO ringing to 100D, Preset Call Forward Dest 440, and then the Preset Forward Timer to whatever how many rings they want for day. Night would be just be CO ringing to 440N. Would this be correct to accomplish this?
Also they have a second Company of CO lines 6-10. They want all of these calls to ring a couple satations and then go to a certain mailbox. Is that possible? Would I be better off just making this go to AA menu 101 with a basic greeting and then dump it into a mailbox? And if so, how do I tell the Dispatch that its Company B ringing in?
Its been a while, but I used to put in Triads S,1,2,3 and now seem to have forgotten all the tricks. Thanks for your help.

Yes, you could set up lines 1-5 just like you mentioned.
You could have lines 6-10 go directly to a mailbox or to a different menu in the Dispatch. To direct it to a specific mailbox, just use the mailbox number in the "Preset Forward VM ID" in CO line programming for lines 6-10.
If you wanted it to go to a menu (different from lines 1-5) put a phantom mailbox number in "Preset Forward VM ID" on the XTS. Then, build the mailbox in the Dispatch and have it forward to the menu of your choice.
Good luck!

Placing the lines in different groups only controls outward dialing access. It has nothing to do with inbound call handling.
Put voice mail extension ports into hunt group 450. Point CO lines 1-5 to hit HG450 at night. Save yourself a few steps.
For company B, you mentioned that you just want the line 6-10 calls to end up in a mailbox. You can program as many stations to ring in the day, night or special modes as you like. On page B, you can select a preset forward destination for only those lines. Mark this destination as 440 and then designate the appropriate mailbox number using the next button. Timing can be modified on page C for that same group of lines. The designated mailbox will then answer calls like an answering machine for those lines.

Yes I have the lines in different groups because each company only will use their lines.

Do I take the stations out of 440 or leave them in 440 and put them in 450 as well?

Leave them in both groups. Using 450 as a ringing destination avoids potential quirks regarding voice mail groups. Putting them in 450 is just a sure-fire way for a call to hunt the voice mail ports in order.
