I was called out today to work on an existing system. It is a Vodavi GDK-100. They want one ext. (115) to have access to only one C.O. line and the intercom. I do not have the manual. I put in the new number in position 12 in the system. How do I let 115 just have this number?

Unfortunately, GDK-100 is not a Vodavi part number; it's a Goldstar part number which could apply to several Vodavi systems. If you can get the part number of one of the phones, we can get a better idea of what Vodavi software is being used and try to assist. Sorry that I can't offer more help at this time.

If you are going to be maintaining this system, you really should consider investing a few bucks in a manual for it. We are happy to help here, but that's with the general understanding that you have some knowledge and tools to get the job done.

Also, we will need you to complete your profile before we can offer any further assistance. Thank you.

Ding:

The GDK 100 is part of the LG (Lucky Gold) or GoldStar family. I didn't even know that they were distributed in the U.S.

This is going to be a tough one for you--right now, I know of no one that knows anything about these creatures.

Google GDK 100 and see if you can get ahold of some dealer somewhere. This is a relatively new system---ask your customer where in the heck did they get it?

Good Luck.

It could be a DVX+ or Triad. Some early cabinets still had the GDK part numbers. The trick will be the software level.

Yes the GDK 100 is either a Triad 1/2 or a DVX +2/3. To verify the software dial 605 from the attendant phone if that does not work you would need to look on the MPB card at the U1 U2 sockets and verify the part number and version number.
The part number will tell you if it is a Triad i.e. TR8020-xx or an Infinte DVX + series system IN8020-xx and the version number will help aide in programming as there are minor changes through out the software changes.

I have been around. I took the day off on Friday but we had pretty bad rain and wind so I spent most of the afternoon chasing patio furniture and trash cans. That's pretty much why I took the day off. We get some really bad wind storms where I am.

Did you call my cell phone? It's always on unless I am on the operating table. My office is open M-F, 8-5. I know that there were people there.

No harm done, David. Sorry to have held you in limbo for so long. I didn't take your comment offensively. I just didn't think I would be out of touch for so long; it's not the norm for me.

I am glad we "got 'er done". Come back anytime for further support. You have my numbers!
