Are you looking for intercom dial tone that sounds like outside dial tone - or - are you looking for outside line preference where it automatically grabs a n outside line pool?

Ahh thanks!

I purchased the BKSU and one telephone last week to play with and learn the system, I must of overlooked that in the 700 page PDF.

However, it appears to be a very nice system for the cost.

There's quite a bit of stuff in the manual that's not in the index, at least not that I could find. There are a some very good folks here that know about them though. I've also been helped with a couple things not in the manual period. Like all manuals you have to figure out what this foreign engineer manual writers lingo is to find stuff.

Do you mean "rock bolt, trunk slemmer"?

As with all systems, each has it's own quirks. And most system do the same things, just the manufacturer calls it by a different name.

STS E is correct that it is Flash50, button 11.
In the manual I have (Issue 1.4 December 2004) the index lists it as "Flexible Button Programming" & the details begin on page 2-151.

There are specific details regarding single lines for this feature on the bottom of page 2-154.

I've got a related question. If I've got a SLT that is grabbing a CO from a T1 how do I get a dialtone?

It's getting the line fine and I can dial out, but the postage meter the client has won't dial without a dialtone and the SLTs seem to ignore the T-1 DIAL TONE (FLASH 40, Page B, Button #3) settings (works fine on the Digital phones).

Maybe I'm just missing something here...

Thanks in advance.

Threk

This should be posted under new topic i would think?

Ok, lets try going at your situation a little different, as it is.

Im not sure which system, version of VODAVI you are working with.
A SLT port/extension upon access will give you
system intercom dial tone, which you say you need
for your postage meter.

So why dont you program your postage meter to do a dial 9 access with the called number program
after your dial 9 access?

You may have to program a pause between 9 and the terminateing number.
You would not need off hook preference program
on your SLT.

You play with this and im sure if you try different comb's it will work.

Remember, the modem in the postage machine may not like the frequency of ic dial tone from the
VODAVI. Just a little heads up.
