We have a new customer that has a DVX Plus III System. It was installed by another company that has changed the PW. This company has refused to reset the PW for the customer. Vodavi will no longer reset. Is there another way in or Will we have to default and reprogram.

If Vodavi won't reset it, then you really don't have a choice but to default and reprogram. Before you do this, you should tell the customer to have a lawyer send the former vendor a letter. The other vendor has no right to do this, even if they are owed money. The system belongs to the customer and they have a right to choose who services it.

The vendor has been sent a letter they know what to do but they are "busy" probably just trying to stall. We in the proccess have to get into programing and by the time the other vendor defaults PW it will be to late and we will have reset. Was hoping there was another way. Looks like we will have to bill other Vendor for our programing time.

That really stinks because when our customers request this, all we require is that they sign a for absolving our company of further responsibility. Once they do that, we change the system's password to the default setting. This whole process takes about 15 minutes at the most. I don't understand why a vendor would stall on something like this; all they are doing is further alienating the customer.
The good news for us is that many of these customers come back after their experience. Sometimes, it's important for customers to see what it's like "on the other side". If it works out, then good for them. If not, we welcome them back with open arms.
