I was programming a stse today, and the customer wanted a button on the phone that would dial a phone number when they pressed it. I know on other systems you can just program the number on the button with speed+speed touch the button and dial the number, or even press a line then dial the number but none of this worked, the only thing I could figure out is to program the stations speed bin starting at 9000 and then program the button for speed bin 9000, which worked. I was just wondering if there was an easier way to do this? It seems odd to have to go through two steps to achieve this.

thanks

That's how it works! You must program a speed bin and program the speed bin to a button.

Thanks, I went through the pdf file for the installation and programming, and that was the only solution I could find. I just wanted to make sure it was right. Is there a training guide or videos for programming vodavi systems?

There is training for the XTS (which programs pretty much identically to the STS) but you have to be a dealer.

My answer to the question of training would have been no, but in review of my certificates i found one certificate # 1009 titled Vodavi XTS-IP basic training course.

Oh well must not of learned much. :shhh:
