We have a Vodavi Starplus Traid XTS system, at least that is what I am told. Today, just a minute ago our voicemail started acting up again... this time when you try to access the voicemail from any phone, you simply get "You have entered an incorrect digit, enter the extension number of the party you are calling". I am no vodavi guy and have no clue what is causing this. The voicemail box says MiniVoice on it. If anyone knows whats wrong with this, I would appreciate your assistance.

The MiniVoice had quite a few bugs that weren't really ever corrected before it was discontinued. You should try disconnecting the AC power from the MiniVoice, waiting 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. This may be all that you need to do.

If that fails, try doing the same with the phone system. Aside from that, you may need to secure the services of a qualified dealer to assist further.

Thanks for the suggestion. We ended up having a local dealer come in and he declared our MiniVoice to be dead. He is going to hook us up with a new one tomorrow.

You might want to ask the vendor to initialize the voice mail and make sure the leave and retrieve tables are set in flash 65 and 66. Without these settings the Mini Voice will not function properly. Also make sure you have the latest software 10045 installed in the unit. Your vendor may have tried these avenues but it doesn't hurt to ask.

The local dealer we brought in came with a Vodavi Dispatch (Rev 1.2) system. I really like this new box, it seems a bit simpler to use than the previous MiniVoice system, and it has a hard drive to store more information.

On a side note. I think i'm going to take the MiniVoice home to see if I can't bring it back to life. Or at least use it for something. I should be a fun project =)
