I currently have a customer that has a Vodavi STS grey cabinet. The just purchased the inskin voicemail for thier system. (not the HD version but the flash version) Common senario of what they are trying to accomplish. Line 1 Uses Auto Attendant 1 or greeting 1 Line 2 Uses Auto Attendant 1 or greeting 1 Line 3 Uses Auto Attendant 2 or greeting 3 Line 4 Uses Auto Attendant 2 or greeting 3 Line 5 Uses Auto Attendant 2 or greeting 3
Is this possible? Whithin the voicemail i set the auto attendant or greeting 1 for port 1 and 2, greeting 2 (night) for port 1 and 2, greeting 3 for port 3, 4, 5 and greeting 4 (night) for port 3, 4 and 5. Am i going about this the wrong way. Thanks for your help in advance.

Sure, that's no problem. Just set up separate hunt groups of VM ports:
HG450= VM ports 150, 151, 152 and 153 HG451= VM ports 154, 155, 156 and 157
In the voice mail, set it so greeting 04 plays for ports 5,6,7 and 8 in day and 05 in night.
Then, just direct each company's lines to ring the appropriate hunt group as desired.

In the phone switch, create two hunt groups that will go to the voice mail ports, 4 voice mail ports are members of each group, for this example, I will stay with Ed's 450 and 451.
For your first group of lines, have them ring to 450, which will be answered by extensions 150,151,152,and 153. These extensions are to be answered by ports 1 through 4 with greeting number 1 both day and night.
For your second group of lines, have those ring to 451, which will be answered by extensions 154,155,156,and 157. These extensions are to be answered by ports 5 through 8, with greeting 4 day and greeting 5 night.
Assure the clock on the phone system and voice mail are set correct, and the clock should affect the change from day/night greeting played on answer.
it's all tip and ring

on a somewhat related subject, is it possible to get a log of what option was chosen by a colling party (e.g. customer service, sales, etc..) and if that call was not answered, who (which extension) received the voice mail?

No, there is no option for that with that voice mail.
