I have a Triad system that I inherited when I took over the telecom service for a Chicago area appliance dealer. In their outlet store they have three extensions that ring at the sales desk, 112, 113, and 114. 112 hunts to 113, which hunts to 114. 114 was set up as the operator station for all three ext's. They also had 113 as a cover station for 112, and 114 as cover for 113. The idea is to have the line ring at the sales desk for an extended period of time so that salesmen on the floor will have time to return to the desk and answer the call. What happens is that if all three extensions are idle when a call comes in, they will go through the ring sequence, but when 114 transfers from ringing, instead of going to VM, it jumps back to the operator. However, if 112, or 113 are busy and the call jumps over either one of those extensions, when the call times out at 114, it will go to VM like it is supposed to. I have also tried to Busy/NoAnswer sequence, and get the same result. I just haven't had enough experience with this system yet to know where to go from here. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 112 hunts to 113 and so on. If I am thinking correctly here the call comes in on 112 then after a timer or busy will fwd to 113 and then fwd to 114. Rather than mess with that would it be easier to enter all three extensions into a hunt group and have your lines ring to that hunt group and have all three extensions ring at the same time. Then you can have the overflow set to vm with whatever id you would like.

How about setting 113 and 112 for call coverage on 114 and extend the cfd time on 114 to v.m.

When calls come in, they first hit the auto attendant. A prompt there directs them to ext. 112, and the sequence starts there. So, no lines ring directly into a hunt group. I have suggested having it set up that way, and they may want that when we move to the new facility. What I don't understand is why the call will not go to VM at 114 if all three ext's are idle when the call comes in. What would cause the system to make that happen? I've tried call coverage, and busy/no answer, and the same thing happens with both. This was working in the past... but no one knows what was originally set up.
