A technician installed an SBX system with 3 lines and was able to call into the system. However, he could not call out on those lines. He would press the button and get an error tone with display reading i.e. Line 1 released. Checked the connections by plugging directly into a single line phone; dialtone present on all lines, incoming and outgoing allowed.

Technician went out the next day with another TESTED cabinet and the same problem. Cannot access dialtone for outgoing calls only incoming. No programming was done in terms of COS or Station/CO line groups.

Any ideas?

Just to clarify...Was the system tested at the shop first? In other words, do you know the programming is correct?

Systems tested fine. In fact, customer had a second location with an STS. Removed STS from that site and installed at "trouble" site and it worked. Installed SBX at "STS" site and it worked. The dialtone at the "trouble" site looks like it comes off of FIOS but converts to analog. Tested with a single line phone. Anyone else hooked up SBX to dialtone originated as FIOS?

Tuesday Verizon will be out to bring us a new line to put in the system. Pretty much it. Vodavi has no clue why this would happen and Verizon says its the phone system. So we ordered another line.
