We are having a problem with the speakerphone at the last three sites we have installed the SBX. The speakerphone volume on the speaker is fine but the other party complains that they cannot hear even when you are inches away from the microphone. We have spoke to Vertical tech support and they are unable to fix the problem no matter how we adjust the settings. We have the same problem whether it is an internal call or on a co line so it cannot be a problem with the co.

Every speakerphone does not work on all three sites???

If that's not the case--Troubleshooting 101 would lead you to
1. Take a known good speakerphone and plug it into the jack where your're having a problem. If the good speakerphone works--then you have a bad phone. If it doesn't work.....
2. Take the known good speakerphone and plug it directly into the KSU station port (or in this case patch panel, perhaps). If it works--there's something wrong with the wiring or jack--if it doesn't work--you've got a bad port, bad switch or there is something programmed in the system that is shutting off the mic (some sort of mute function).

I'm assuming here that the mute button is not a factor----right??

Good luck---let us know how it turns out.

I've got one site that the speakerhone won't work if the air conditioning is blowing through the vent over the desk. Yep the mic is that hot.
