I have an STS system installed at one of my offices. They have a basic auto attendant set up. Press 1 for this press 2 for that. The office mgr wanted me to set up one office that has two stations in it so that both phones would ring when 2 was pressed. If both were on the phone then calls would go to VM. I set up a hunt group for this Dept and add the stations. This works fine when they are both on the phone. however if neither one is in the office. The call never transfers to voice mail. I have checked pretty much everything that I can think of and the only way that I can get the lines to go to VM on no answer is to put a DND flex button on the phone and have them go into DND mode when they leave. There has to be a better way of doing this but I am at a loss of what to look at anymore. Any Idea's?

Use your overflow timers.
I assume you have ver. 1.04 ?

I would have the menu option just go to one of the extensions, put a call coverage button on the other phone for that extension and let the first extension's mailbox capture the calls. Pretty simple solution if you think that will do it for you.

TJ thanks for your response. I set up the overflow timers for 10 sec for no answer. It would never roll to voice mail. I am not sure what version this is. I have it all saved on my laptop and it is not with me right now. We are going to have to add an expansion cabinet to this system in the near future and will replace the STS with an STSe.

Another option (if rev is high enough) is to program a virtual ext then set your AA digit to transfer to that virtual port. Put ringing call cover buttons on the two phones and time-out to the virtual port mailbox. You can then put mailbox buttons for the virtual on both phones....makes it nice.

In flash 30, there are 4 button programs you have to set in order for it to go to voicemail.

Thanks for all the help guys. It's much appreciated! One of those little issues that will drive ya nutts. Like I was saying we are going to upgrade this to an STSe so all the current goodies will work. I was beating my head against the wall why this would not work. Its good to know that when your head goes blank then you can find the solution here.
