I am a new employee here and apparently you can transfer a call to an outside line (i.e. someone calls and the person they're looking for aren't here and asked to be patched through to that person's cell phone...). Can anyone help me out? I know that you have to use the flash button, but not sure how... For example, needed to patch someone through to another perons's cell # that is on speed dial. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me.

The easiest way to accomplish this is --->> While on a line, hit transfer, dial 9, dial remote number, when party answers hangs up - this will transfer the line to the outside caller, keep in mind this will tie up 2 lines to complete.

1. First, Make sure you have the ability to transfer to an outside caller on your lines. This is a feature supplied by your local carrier. If you have Centrex lines, they used to call this feature something like "Call transfer outside system".
2. The operation would be: While on a call, press Flash Key (lightning bolt on it)--you will hear new dial tone---dial the cell phone number--listen for the ring--hang up. When you hang up, the caller will hear the cell phone ringing--then, hopefully, the cell phone user picks up--and they talk. Although you are charged for the time by your local carrier---you do not use one of your lines as they talk. Good Luck
