Can anybody tell me the part number of the battery on a MPB-1 for the XTS. I have a customer that goes down after every power outage and I have to default and reprogram every time. I had this happen on another customer and it was the battery on the MPB-1. Does Vertical still sell the MPB-1?
Thanks

The battery on the MPB-1 is a Lithium type. It measures 3.6V dc. and i have never seen a part number listed in Vodavi manual. I trust you are good with a soldering iron, if not you may have issues with the replacement procedure. Yes you can still get the MPB-1 card. Good luck and seasons greetings to you.

The hardest part is cutting or desoldering it from the circuit board.

This battery was never sold as a part by Vodavi (Vertical). They always insisted that the card be returned to Aztec for factory repair. If it is under five years old, it is still under warranty.
Yes, they sell the MPB1 every day. This is probably the most popular processor card for the XTS.

We buy them from Mouser Electronics, they run about $7.00, they are a direct replacement for the stock battery. https://www.mouser.com/catalog/636/2040.pdf

Aztec Repair sells them. Don't bother to try to unsolder it. Just twist back and forth till it breaks off and then solder on a new one.
