Is there a difference between the EXP KSU for the STS and STSe. The reason I ask is I just installed an STSe exp on a STS. Since the install the flash vm has been acting weird, some times not answering when the vm(440) button is pressed, other times answering after several (3-5) rings. Also I'm told the system powers down and then comes back up again. I have not witnesed this yet. Any thoughts?

I have always installed the expansion ksu on original install, so not sure if i have much input.
When you powered the system down that would of put your battery on your ksu in operating mode.
I don't think you have a cabinet issue as far as compatibly.
You did install the metal plate interlocking the two units together ?
Check battery for 3.6v, if less change it.
You may just have to dump programming and rebuild same after complete default of system.
It could be main processor is confused.
Go have fun this holiday, and get back to it after the holidays. Merry Christmas.
