Incoming calls are ringing at x101, as this has been assigned the "attendant" station. All calls are live answered by the receptionist. Customer now wants x102 to ring on incoming calls as well so the Caller ID info will be shown on the display.

These are the steps i follow, but the odd thing is, Line 1 rings on x102, but Line 2 does not.

Flash 40; 001-002 Hold
Page A button 10; entered 1027
Page A button 13 displays: 101A, 102A, 103A, 104A

Both CO Lines are in Line Group 01, before I arrived on site, Line 1 was in Line Group 01 and Line 2 was in Line Group 00.

I went through the STSe quick start guide over and over and still can not get this to work right. Any solutions or ideas would greatly be apreciated.

Also, x102 does not have ringing line preference, so when a line is ringing and the handset is lifted, the phone sits there dumb. I couldnt find info on this either in the documentation.

Thanks!!!

Update:
I verified that flash 51, page A button 8 is enabled.

If calls are answered live, should Flash 30 show only H450 or should all extensions 101-104 be listed there as well?? All phones are to ring on incoming calls for lines 1&2 which are the only lines there.

VM answers only as a backup and at night when night mode is turned on.

"Ringing line preference" is referred to as Preferred line answer is what they refer to as ringing line preference.

I wonder if you are really dealing with lines 1 & 2 or if maybe someone mapped a different line port as line 2 (defective port)? You might want to double-check that since you could actually be dealing with lines 1 and 4.

If you can't get the caller ID to show, program a button for 653 at that phone and turn it on to see if caller ID will then come through.

This has nothing to do with hunt groups, so don't even worry about that part.

Check your button assignments also to make sure they are what you think they are. Goes with what Ed's saying about someone assigning buttons different than what you are thinking.

I checked the button mapping and it turns out that the line 2 was named Line 2, but was actually line 3. Made necesary programming changes and phone works fine. I wasnt aware that the CO Lines can be renamed. The port for Line 2 must have been bad for a tech to make such a change.

Thanks for all the help!
