I am hoping that someone can help me out. I have 2 systems that I need software for. First is an older Mach 1 ver. 3.10-3FE2. The second is a newer STS ver. 1.03-AFE2. This system also has the voicemail card in it. Customer is unhappy with installing company when they claimed they needed a new system after only 2 years. I am needing to get into the voicemail to reprogram it so calls can be routed to extensions and hunt groups. I am guessing that the older Dispatch software will not work on this voicemail, but have not tried it yet. Thank you to anyone who can help me out with these 2 customers. Stephanie

Steph:
Do you know if the Mach 1 is using an 8 bit or a 16 bit processor? There should be a label on the KSU or on the software module indicating this.
Also, for the voice mail card in the STS, you just need basic terminal emulation software, like HyperTerm or ProComm. You are correct in assuming that ADMIN software will not work for your application. It is only for the Talkpath or Dispatch systems.

Thanks Ed, At least I can work on the one system. On the Mach 1 I will need to go back by there and take a look. I should have time tomarrow to do that and touch base with them on their problems. One person mentioned just using a digital phone on the ports to change the volume for the voicemail? This is for the system that does not hear the touch tones for the auto attendant. Thanks again for the help.

You can use the "handset receiver gain" feature to adjust the receive volume on analog station ports connected to a voice mail with a simple butt set connection. I have never had any luck or heard of substituting a digital phone for a voice mail port to do this. This is mainly due to the fact that once a digital port's connected device changes, the settings for that port default back to normal.
Anyone else have any input on this?

Yes, you can use a digital set to adjust the ports for a digital Dispatch or Pathfinder. I have done it many times. You have to make a co call and raise the volume.

Ed Just as an FYI the volume is one of those things that does not get defaulted when the port type changes. :bang: :bang:

That's the value in this forum. We are all constantly learning from each other's experience. I tried this years ago when the digital Talkpath first came out and didn't seem to have any luck, so I just took that as the gospel. Thanks for the heads-up, guys.

Thanks again for all the help. I stoped by today and used a phone to adjust handset volume to maximum. Customer said some days it was working great, others not very good. Hoping for the best. Steph
