I have a rather stupid question:
We have a StarPlus Triad-s system using the TR9015-71 phones and I want to relocate the Operator station (station 100) to a new desk. The new desk has an existing phone jack/port that is in use. Is it as simple as unplugging the phone and plugging it into the other jack? Any system changes need to be made? I've relocated other phones within the building and used the 636 station relocate, but never station 100.
thanks in advance.

I believe so but 100 is probably currently assigned to the attendant station and I believe that will change to what ever phone you move to where 100 is. Don't have a manual on me at the moment but somebody else will prob. chime in.

It depends upon your level of software. Yes, you can transplant X100 anywhere, but in some software versions, you will lose the attendant functions (they don't follow to the new location). In these cases, the attendant functions such as programming date/time remain attached to the original physical port. If you can live with this, you should be OK.

I'm not sure of software version, but when I unplug/replug my phone it displays GSPD 2.0B.
We're not that big of a shop, so I can live with some things remaining with fixed port 100.
Thanks for the quick replies too. Very helpful.

You will be OK if you can live with these potential limitations.
Oh and by the way, your question was not stupid at all. It is a very valid question to ask. We are happy to assist.

Ed, I have a question about this, with this particular system. I had a location do the station reloc and of course they couldn't switch to nite service because the button didn't work on 100 anymore. If I remember correctly I looked at flash 10 and it showed the station on the original port being the attd, so with this system all I did was change the attd station, would it work on his configuration with the software version he is running?

I believe that most of these problems occurred with FP3 and the advent of flexible numbering plans. We encountered what you mentioned and resorted to placing 604 buttons on other phones for the control of night service as a work around.
