So I just moved a XTS for a customer and condensed the system down from 100 stations to about 30. The problem I am having is they had a hunt group 451 and it forwarded to voice mail with a vmid of 350. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to give it forwarding or a vmid for that matter.

I don't know how you have that set up, but the ports need to be defined in the hunt group. If they are assigned to the voice mail ports, they won't get inband. Its only during after an overflow condition it will give inband to the voicemail.
In programming, you need to be in hunt grp 451. FL30 and btn 17 is the overflow vmid value. Btn 14, 15 & 16 are the overflow destinations
I usually send calls to a generic hunt group to play the default msg in vm. No inband integration that way.
These instructions also depend on the version software the XTS has. Whose voicemail are you using? Vodavi?

i am not sure of the software level but yeah its a talkpath voicemail. i have all the ports assigned in FL30 but i didn't know about the overflow destination. so if all the software levels are correct can i send the overflow to a phone with a vmid of 350 to get my inband integration?

You apparently have a basic understanding to locate 451. Groups 440-447 are commonly usually used for vm with inband.
It also depends how calls are ending up into vm. Are they coming from a T1 or copper? You can set forwarding through the co programming or from a station. Are they using an acd type of ringing? There are various ways a call can bring inband into vm.

Ok so the quick rundown of what is going on is they have a customer service dept.
All calls are comming in on copper and going to 440 (the main greeting). Then to get to customer by dialing option 4 (451) it rings all the stations in 451. Here is the part i am having problems with. If no one in that group answers the call i want to send it back to 440 with a vmid of 350.
If i was doing this from scratch i would just do many things differently as i feel this setup is over complicating what they have going on now but i am stuck with a demanding customer that wants EXACTLY what he had setup before.
Thanks for all your help!

Ok. I understand what they are trying to do.
All hunt grp values should be in btns 14 to 20. Just hit the btns in that range to find what you are looking for.
