Check the welder and make sure it has a good case ground. Many welders need a separate case ground to shield them from putting off interference.

I was pleased to see that the isolation transformer made it better but this appears to be turning into a case for a multi-level solution. All it takes is for one conductor anywhere in the building to carry a signal back to the KSU to foul things up. Is the KSU itself anywhere near the welder? If you bring a portable AM radio to the site, does it pick up the noise anywhere the KSU? You could also use this radio idea to figure out which areas are the most susceptible to RF and disconnect any wires there as a test. Hopefully you can find the bad boy!
