I have a Triad 2 that won't come up. The Displays say DKTU24-D GSPD V2.0B
All the lights on the power supply are lit.
The lights on the MPBI card light. starting from the bottom to light number 6 then start over again.
Any ideas

Is switch #8 on the MPB on or off?
It sounds as if the memory retention battery may have failed. The system will not start if this battery is bad. With the age of this system, I'd imagine that this is the cause of your problem.

It looks as though the database is gone now. You probably had a power outage and the battery to hold memory is dead.
To reset back to default, you need to flip the battery switch off, flip sw 8 the same direction as the other 7 switches and power the system up. It will bring the system back to default. Give it about 30 seconds and the system should come up to a default. Flip the switches back and you will need to start programming from new.

I have reset the MPBI per the manual. all Switches to off. then switch 8 to on, power off / on system. Noise comes over the keyset speakers. Even after i flip sw 8 back to off. Still noise. The battery was replaced. I get voltage on the pins on solder.

I absolutely hate to give this reply, but it looks as if the MPB has failed. Before you jump off a cliff, see if the MPB will start with all cards pulled, then power down and re-insert the other cards, one at a time.
The MISB has been known to cause problems in this system when it goes bad. I would start by pulling that one. Unless the system has music on hold or external paging, you probably don't even need it.

Do the LEDS go back to normal blinking instead of the sequential resetting?
One other thing to check as well. Where is the dtib card plugged into? If it is not in the first slot, it might not be recognized in programming.
Can you hook up a serial cable to the serial port and see if you are seeing data when you boot up? 9600 8N1

Any success? Did you try removing all peripheral cards except for the 1st DTIB in slot 0? That way you would have the lightest load on the system and at least had one board in the default position.
