We have a Vodavi STSe installed at a business that is spread out over a few buildings. The loop lengths are within the specs that are in the Vodavi manual. The customer is saying that quite often the system phones will go off hook and pages other phones in the system. The system phones will lose sync and they will either have to reboot the phones or the phone system. This seems to only happen at night per the customer. We have tested all of the drops and found no problems with any of the cabling that we can see. The base KSU was just replaced because the old KSU had a bad SLT port. We have not seen the problems with the system as the customer will either reboot the system before the call us or reboot the system phones. Any help would appreciated.

Make sure you are using the 2 conducter line cords or at the least the wht/or pair is disconnected at the jack. This sounds like the classic problem of interferrance being picked up on the the unused pair of a 4 conducter line cord.

We are still having similar problems Stn 101 is paging another Stn in the system. Stn 100 was not functioning correctly and we did replace the I/O to that stn and it seems to work ok. These Stns are about 300 feet away from the KSU on buried cable that is protected on both ends of the circuit. Any more ideas?

OK,bonding of the two may be different, allowing for a ground loop.
You might try grounding all unused pairs on both ends of the cable between buildings if you havent allready.
This may be a tuff one, but the solution may come from process of elimanation.
Ground all unused I/O that does not have a termination.
Stay with it and you will defeat this issue.
