Hi,

I have a Vodavi Triad Starplus system at work. The problem we are having is that if we are on the phone and some one calls, instead of going to our voicemail the call rolls over to the next available line.

Which system do you have? There are quite a few different ones that use that phone model.

Ed,

I don't know which system I have. I know that I have Software Version Eng.Ver. 3.11-3FE1 Starplus Basic. In the phone room, there is a small metal box labeled Internal Ring Generator Part # 3073-00. Also there is a big metal cabinet on the wall with some cards labeled GDK-100 PSU3. There is also a gray box that apparently controls the voice mail. There is another box only labeld Vodavi. All these boxes are connected to each other.

You can use the call forward-busy/no answer on the phones by dialing 640 + 9440. You'll need to do this at every phone, so try it on just one phone first to make sure you like it. This will make unanswered calls to go to voice mail, as well as any calls that arrive when you are on the phone.

Are you talking about transferred calls and are you a part of an internal hunt group? I am a little uncertain as to your request.

An in-house voice mail system basically works with unanswered calls. However, on a transferred call, your extension can itself be programmed to send that call to your mailbox when you are busy.

Or do you mean if you are talking on your TelCo Line 1 and a 2nd call comes in, it hunts to Line 2?

Hunting is a feature of your local carrier. Just because one extension is in-use, that doesn't stop a new call from ringing in.

Hi Dave,

Yes, if am on the phone and a 2nd call comes in instead of going to my voice mail it hunts to line 2. I am not sure if I am part of a hunt group.

Thanks,

Ed,
I did this but the calls stil went to another person instead of voicemail. The FWD button is lit up and there is a dispaly of BSY/NA FWD TO VM 440. What else you think it may be?
Thanks
