Thanks STSe, I will do the initialization and follow your advice on the others. I honestly can't remember if system was initialized on day one. Again thank you very much for you input, Mike.

There are three things to remember when first installing a phone or voice mail system:
Initialize, initialize, initialize.
Heck, I don't ever trust the KSU initialization dip switch alone. I always follow it up with a software initialization. Even the Bible says you must build on a firm foundation!

Thanks MNDAVE, yes, Vodavi never made me aware but that's ok. They did recommend 20052 and supplied it to us after the initial problems. They also faxed us the prodeure for "fixing address problems", but we ended up doing initializations each time. A bad load didn't ocuur to me and I will try to get a fresh load of 20052/20053. We learned on the NEC DS1000/2000 just how important a UPS can be, but generally use the Minuteman Enspire for small Key Systems. I may switch to surge-only outlet for the time being.
