Just wondering if anyone has had any issues using the T1 / PRI Combo card on the STSe when connected to a soft switch. We have several providers in the area that are using Cisco Routers (Nuvox in particular) to connect the PRI. Vertical Tech support says they don't support a softswitch connection. Seems like a lot of carriers are going to this. Just curious what kind of problems other companies are seeing out there.

Thanks,
Greg

I've had a lot of trouble in those situations. The only way we were able to get it stable was for the service provider to not send name information with the caller ID.

Do a search in the Vodavi section for "Soft Switch".

I checked it out! Very good stuff here, thanks for the input. I think we're going to just avoid the softswitch all together, I have enough headaches in my life. Thanks!!

I just installed my first T1/PRI combo card & the circuit was thru a soft switch. It was provided thru Deltacom. Their switch is a CS2K switch. So far no problems. Once we got the routing stuff figured out, everything flew caller ID & all. I was too concerned about the soft switch but it's working.
