I have a bunch of xts systems I maintain, and I was wondering as the 9015 phones get harder to come by, is it possible to swap out the 9015's for the newer 3015 phones?

They will work fine. Can't remember what software version you will need, but most likely you have it because of DST fix.

The XTS have to have fp2 software to use the 3015 phones.

I believe the distribution side FP1.2 was actually the first release to support the "Uni-phones". Whether the dealer side had the identical FP then, I'm not sure. However, I would require the customer to upgrade to FP2.23 (The highest release that the older revision MPBs will run). There are too many limitations on older versions and the 2.23 enhancements are well worth it.

The XTS in my office still has 1.16 in it and we are using a mix of 3015 and 3016 phones. We also have quite a few IN9015 phones on it as well.

You might check to see if station lock is on ( fl 06 butt. 8. Also, fl. 50 page b, butt. 1 to assign the phone type. I actually thought the XTS (any version) would work with the 30 button phones.

Turn off station lock. It is found in Flash 06. After the 3015 phones are recognized, you will need to turn station lock back on. When changing station types, all the settings will default to factory and the phone will need to be reprogrammed to your needs.
