SPD 4896 with Dispatch voicemail. All phones that have voicemail are multiline.

One of our techs tried setting up voicemail for a SLT, but found that the MWI was only working via "stutter" dial tone (no MWL), and the stutter was always on, regardless of message or no message in the corresponding mailbox, even after deleting, waiting, leaving a new message, waiting, then deleting.

MWI continues to function normally for multiline phones.

So my questions:

1. What kind of MWI, if any, is supported on SLT ports?
2. Any idea what might be causing the issue where MWI for the SLT isn't able to be controlled by voicemail?

Thanks!

Justin

It is a different station ID for an slt with message waiting, stutter dialtone indicates a forwarding or dnd condition not mw on that system. MW stutter did not come out until the Triad system.

That's great information. Thanks!

I can't remember, can the Dispatch be set with different MWI strings per mailbox, or is it system-wide?

You can assign a different MWI sequence per Class of Service under the Notification tab.
