I'm puzzled over the part number. The XTS was released in 10/01.
P/N: TR8031-32 appears in a 2002 XTS price list.
P/N: 3031-40 appears in a 2003 XTS list.

I am puzzled as well. I got the impression that the 8031-40 PRIB board would work in the XTS based on previous discussions I had with folks on this forum. Also, it is in one of my books. However, I just noticed the copyright date on the install/prog manual I am using is 2002. So, I'm guessing that means I should have purchased a 3031-40 PRIB board instead of the 8031-40 board?

That's curious. Even the initial release 1 manual shows P/N: 8031-40 but none of my price lists show it. Anyone else have a clue about this? All the previous comments should have been adequate. Since the board works in another system, perhaps there is a problem with the cabinet? Are you running it with a PLLU?

The switch on the mpb board turns the battery on and off. I still think that the card is not compatible with the XTS.

No, I am not running it with a PLLU. I have the whole system setup on my bench for testing but no PLLU.

Derrick, do you think I should trade out the 8031-40 for a 3031-40?

I think so. What about you, Dave?

The XTS in my office has the 8031-40 card, running 2.23 software, so I don't think the card itself is the issue. Isn't the PLLU built-in on the MPB1?

I'm pretty sure that the only compatibility issues are that the -50 card is not backward-compatible with the DVX+ and Triad systems.

Parameters are rather simple...if the card works in the DVX then what is going on? I had a card that would not initilize in flash 24 due to no available time slots, but that doesn't seem to be the issue here.

itguy, I think it's time you pay for a Vodavi certified tech to come to your site. They should have parts so that you don't have to do a shotgun approach. At this point, if it was me, I would probably show up with one of my working test systems and explore where the breakdown is occuring on yours. Besides, he could pull in factory tech support if necessary.
