I have displays that quit working. I have unplugged the ribbon, plugged it back in and it works, some go out soon after again. Have others noticed this and if so what are you having success with.

Its typical of that phone. Sometimes just unplugging and plugging it back in makes it work. Sometimes it doesn't.

I have the same problem and I think it may be a result of high humity, unplug the ribon cable from the main pc board and rub a little wd-40 on it before you plug it back in.

Thank-you George i will try that. I wondered if a 4-conductor would be causing that, but I see that's what comes with the STS phone.

there is a jack labled ADP under the telephones, the black and yellow of the station cord feed out through the center two pins of the jack. If you wanted to hook a DSS or other two conductor device through the phone and just use one cord you would hook the secondary device to the yel/blk wires in the phone jack and plug the secondary unit into the ADP jack in the bottom of the phone.
